Tag is working with the Georgia Red Cross to provide home care and social support for the elderly who are isolated in their own homes. Tag has secured the cooperation of MATAV, Israel’s largest home care for the elderly organisation, to train, social workers and volunteers, re-train retired nurses, and to develop effective management systems.
Previously, Tag provided first aid training and equipment, refurbished first aid training centres, and held a seminar on resource mobilisation.
Care for the Elderly Begins at Home
In Georgia, many elderly people are left uncared for as their children emigrate or relocate. In time of crisis, they are often abandoned to their own devices. Tag is working with the Georgia Red Cross to provide home care and social support for the elderly who are isolated in their own homes.
