Project SheltHer
Providing Safety and Assistance to Ukrainian Women Refugees
Thousands of vulnerable women refugees are fleeing Ukraine. They are victims of horrors of war, and are potential victims of further exploitation and abuse.
Meet Nadia
Nadia is 22 years old, but she has seen enough for a lifetime.
She saw her own father die from an errant Russian shell.
Her brother has joined the Ukraine army and she is terrified what may happen to him.
Her own home has been destroyed, along with all her belongings.
Her mother is too sick to leave, so Nadia has made her own way to Poland - all alone.
Nadia thought she had no one. But a social worker from Project SheltHer met her at the border.
Now, Nadia has a home.
Home Away From Home
We have opened warm and welcoming homes for Nadia and hundreds of other women refugees.
Besides for warm meal and a comfortable bed, our guests will have access to lots of help and support.
They will have access to transport, therapy, language classes - and so much more.
So long as they are refugees, we will make them feel at home.
Two shelters in Rzeszow
With your help, we will raise five million dollars to provide direct assistance and a "home away from home" to thousands of women.
Here is how you can help them:
